Good(ish) wine - I don't want to pay insane prices - or good beer - although it's more expensive than it should be, it's difficult to pay bank-breaking amounts unless you try very hard.
I find that the appreciation of spirits requires that you are used to drinking them frequently, and that has health implications that I want to avoid.
Besides there's a whole world of taste in wine and beer.

I shall certainly miss many of the English real ales when I decamp finally to Thailand, at which point I shall almost certainly STOP drinking on account of the fact that I have the willpower to do so, and won't be putting up any - feeble or otherwise - excuse to neck a few units.
